Breathing Being seeks to learn from, and work with, leading professionals. We are keen to discover what works for individuals, trying new approaches and encouraging research into the efficiency of treatments.

Our approach is a collaborative one – based on our experience of the benefits and value we have seen in working with other professionals and treatment providers to offer the best support to clients and to promote the exchange and development of ideas.

Breathing Being is pleased to work with key practitioners to offer a wealth of experience.

robin-monro

Dr Robin Monro is a Yoga Therapist and Director of the Yoga Biomedical Trust.

For thirteen years he worked as a research scientist in molecular biology, alongside Nobel Prize-winning scientists including Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins who, together with James Watson and Rosalind Franklin, solved one of the most important of all biological riddles – the double helix structure of DNA. Robin turned his back on this, despite being at the height of a successful career, in order to explore broader dimensions of science.  He decided to focus on yoga therapy, as a route for broadening science, following the cure of his asthma by yoga. He researched this new interest widely, studying yoga therapy with some of the world’s foremost yoga therapy masters. In 1983 he founded the Yoga Biomedical Trust and he went on to found and direct the first UK Yoga Therapy Diploma Course.
